Joi Okada

Joi Okada is an Operating Partner for Japan at 1982 Ventures, where he focuses on

connecting Japanese institutional capital to private credit opportunities across Southeast

Asia, particularly in fintech-enabled lending.

He is also the Founder of Multi-X Capital, a Singapore-based advisory firm focused on

infrastructure, real estate, and cross-border transactions. His work centers on originating and

structuring deals between Asia-based sponsors and global capital, with a strong emphasis

on building institutional-grade pipelines and execution frameworks.

Previously, Joi led strategic investments at Kakaku.com across Southeast Asia, where he

worked on growth-stage companies in fintech, e-commerce, and digital platforms. He also

spent time at Digital Garage supporting global venture initiatives, and began his career at

GFI Group in credit derivatives, focusing on institutional markets.
